The year 2020 will stay in our memories as the time when the world changed. Life came to a still, everyone had to change habits and beyond all the social, financial and political consequences, the appreciation of culture had to be redefined. For the first time since the Second World War, museums in France closed for almost 4 months.
During this period that we became experts in viruses, protection equipment and baking bread, many art lovers kept contact with the cultural institutions that developed virtual tours and allowed access to their archives. As a museum professional, I was regularly asked when will we get back to the normal way of appreciating art.

The good news is that most museums are now open and the temporary exhibitions are already receiving important numbers of visitors. However, all the necessary measures are taken for the health and safety of staff and public. A very interesting phenomenon occurred, the locals are on one hand eager to get out and experience what they have missed (the art); on the other hand, they are keen to take advantage of the absence of millions of tourists arriving in Paris this time every year.
As an art lover, I rushed to breath some painting and sculpture air in the museum galleries and I got more then determined to keep all my friends up to date about the latest exhibitions sending dispatches on the unique Parisian collections.

The choices in Paris are countless, but this blog will bring you the latest and the best happening in the museums, until you explore more on your own when back to our city. Stay tuned.
